2026 Minds Underground™ Architecture Essay Competition
The Minds Underground™ Architecture Essay Competition invites students in Year 12 (though younger students and Year 13 re-applicants are welcome) to engage with the creative, philosophical, and social questions at the heart of architectural practice. This competition challenges entrants to think beyond design and construction, exploring how architecture interacts with art, ethics, technology, and society.
Essays should demonstrate original thought, conceptual curiosity, and a willingness to question how the spaces we build reflect who we are.
The 2026 Minds Underground Architecture Essay Competition questions are now live. Submit by 3 April 2026!
