The Language Hub

Welcome to the Language Hub! Students will practise writing, speaking and translating, in German, Mandarin, French, Spanish, Italian or Arabic, as well as study books, poetry and film through literature masterclasses. MU offers an incredibly varied opportunity to delve into and explore both the cultural and linguistic aspects of the language(s) you choose.

For university applicants, the personal statement allows you to demonstrate what areas of the language, history and culture interest you, and to show that you have read around independently and done your own research in these areas. MU masterclasses aim to direct your independent reading, making links between historical context and the literature and encouraging a personal interpretation of your findings.
