The Minds Underground™ Dentistry Essay Competition 2026

The Minds Underground™ Dentistry Essay Competition invites students in Year 12 (though younger applicants are welcome, as well as university re-applicants in Year 13) to explore pressing issues and innovations in dental science, public health, and medical ethics. This competition encourages aspiring dentists and medics to think critically about the biological, social, and ethical dimensions of dentistry - from oral disease and prevention to cosmetic practice and patient access.

Open to UK and international students, the competition offers a unique opportunity to demonstrate curiosity, research skills, and thoughtful written communication valued by top dental and medical schools. Entrants must choose 1 question to answer.
