Ria is an Oxford Economics & Management graduate and current Cambridge Law student, with an exceptional academic background spanning economics, business, finance and law.

She completed her first degree in Economics & Management at Christ Church, University of Oxford, studying areas including microeconomics, macroeconomics, finance, quantitative economics, entrepreneurship and innovation. Her academic and commercial ability saw her named one of Targetjobs’ Top 10 Management Undergraduates of the Year, selected from more than 600 applicants nationally.

Ria is now studying Law at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge. Alongside her academic achievements, she brings valuable real-world commercial experience, having worked across business operations and finance and founded her own small business.

As host of EconoMinds, Ria encourages students to look beyond the school Economics curriculum and engage critically with the economic, financial and business questions shaping the world today. Through contemporary case studies, academic ideas and lively discussion, students explore how economic theory applies to real-world problems, analyse competing perspectives and develop their own evidence-based arguments.

Why Join our online Econominds Club?

For students fascinated by economics, business, global markets and the forces shaping our rapidly changing world, the Minds Underground EconoMinds Club offers an opportunity to take their intellectual exploration far beyond the school curriculum.

Sessions challenge students to grapple with major economic questions, real-world market behaviour, global events and the decisions shaping businesses, governments and societies. From inflation, inequality and financial markets to behavioural economics, technological disruption and the future of work, students will explore how economic thinking can help us understand some of the most important challenges of our time.

Students are encouraged not simply to learn economic theory, but to apply it critically to the world around them: interrogating data, questioning assumptions, evaluating competing explanations and developing sophisticated arguments of their own.

EconoMinds is designed to cultivate the qualities of an exceptional Economics student: analytical rigour, intellectual curiosity, quantitative confidence, independent thinking and the ability to connect economic theory with the complexities of the real world.
