iEMPOW3R iWrite Competition

Age Categories:

8 – 16. Three runners up from the age groups 8 – 10, 11 – 13 and 14 – 16.

Who is it for?

The scope of the guidelines (you can write anything creative at all!) ensures you can cut across subjects and themes, playing to your interests, the genre you enjoy writing in etc. This is a great competition for budding writers looking to develop their storytelling skills with huge freedom of choice!

Deadline:

The competition deadline is on 31st December 2020, with confirmation to all participants issued no later than 31st January 2021, and prizes issued by 15th February.

Overview:

“iWrite: Inspiring children's creativity through writing, promoting an appreciation for storytelling.

The objective of the initiative is to improve children’s confidence in writing, providing an opportunity to develop their writing and reading skills, but also, to showcase their creativity!

One winner will be selected, receiving a laptop, accessories and an iEMPOW3R writing set worth up to £500*.

You can write whatever you like, be as creative as you want.

But please try to keep the word count between 200 to 500 words. Don't worry - if you're close enough, that's absolutely fine.

Submissions must be word processed; so that means typed on a computer. Once completed, send your submission to the email address below to be included in the competition.

If you don't have a computer at home or access to a local library and want to take part, send us an email or contact us through our website (above). We'll see how we can help you.

We want everyone to have a chance!”
