🏛️ U14 Law Summer School: Think Like a Lawyer!
⚖️ About the Programme
What would you do if breaking the law could save a life? Who should pay when an accident happens? Are rules always fair? And why do we have human rights in the first place?
The Minds Underground U14 Law Summer School is a fun, discussion-based online course introducing students to the exciting world of law through real-life scenarios, mock trials, and mini legal debates.
Led by Oxbridge Law graduates, the programme is perfect for students who love asking questions, enjoy debating, and are curious about the rules that shape society.

✔️ Critical Thinking – Explore both sides of real-life legal dilemmas
✔️ Confident Communication – Present arguments clearly and persuasively
✔️ Legal Awareness – Understand rights, rules, and legal responsibilities

Over 6 weekly sessions, students will explore:
Criminal Law: Is Eating People Wrong?
Examine situations in which the law has been asked to balanced competing lives and competing harmsTort Law: Who Pays For The Broken Window?
Explore how the law balances repsonsibility, fairness and compensationThat’s Not Fair!
Consider when, if ever, breaking ‘unfair’ rules and laws can be justifiedWhy Do We Have Human Rights?
Consider the origins of human rights, as well as the effectiveness of their enforcement in practiceThis House Will All Be Yours One Day
Consider the merits of recognising informal promises in landForced To Agree: Inequality Of Bargaining Power
In this introduction to inequality of bargaining power, consider the spectrum of ‘agreement’ and see what the law can do
Meet Our Hosts
Stephanie, Cambridge Law Graduate
Stephanie is a Law Graduate from the University of Cambridge and a future trainee solicitor at a leading US Law firm in London. During her studies, she developed particular academic interests in Labour Law and Family Law with a strong focus on human rights and child protection. Stephanie is a fantastic mentor for aspiring law students!
Ingrid, Oxford Law Graduate
Ingrid is a recent Oxford Law graduate and future trainee solicitor with extensive experience supporting students applying for Law at Oxbridge and other top universities. Her sessions are highly personalised and discussion-based, encouraging students to engage critically with legal and philosophical questions while developing, clear, structured argumentation.
