Debating and Speech Summer Course

Welcome to our speech and debating summer course! Students will learn key skills of speech and drama, and how to implement these in day-to-day life; from interviews, to improving their general knowledge and practising public speaking. Over the course of the 6-session programme, students will hone their ability to deliver talks, to develop and express their own ideas and to listen, assimilate information and respond appropriately in discussion on familiar and unfamiliar topics.

Our Host: Ananya

Ananya is a 5th year Medical student at the University of Cambridge. She has strong experience in debating and public speaking, from competing at national competitions (e.g. MACE, Cambridge Schools) and from working as a judge at Cambridge Schools' debating competition. She also achieved Grade 1-8 Speech and Drama qualifications (Trinity College) with Distinction and won numerous public speaking (for poetry, prose and drama) competitions. Ananya loves inspiring people to get involved with debating and public speaking.
