In this masterclass, you will examine some of the key conflicts of international relations from the 20th and 21st century, including the Balkan Wars and the Arab-Israeli conflict, each highlighting the nexus between ethno-religious and economic wars, as well as the changing nature of conflict. Discussion will lead on to the R2P doctrine of the UN and the Iraq War, from which you will learn about the structure of the UN, its purposes and some of its policies.
