So many students don't really understand where the party system comes from, what ideological waves have hit domestic politics at different times and, crucially, how they relate to current affairs issues. Having a handle on how hot topics now relate to past debates and their effects on the UK is crucial, especially at Oxbridge interview where political current affairs topics are inevitably discussed.
